Mascotts Proud run of Glory continued in Winning the Tiny Life Shield held at Harlequins Rugby Club on Friday 2nd July 2010. The event was organised by Todd Architects and ASL Goodbody and was a fantactic day form Start to Finish. After a shaky start to the Tournament losing 1-0 to Todds in the opening game Manager Nathan "FW" Scott pulled the Team together ensuring their fate was not similar to Englands and residing to the Bar early Doors for Drinks and contemplating on what could have been! Instead the Team went onto Defeat McAleer & Rushe in their next game and their run of Good Fortune continued from there! Knocking out Co-Hosts Todds in a Penalty Shoot out and ASL Goodbody in the Quarter Finals also in a Penalty Shoot after a Superb game of Football from Both Sides, the Team won a Semi- Final against RPS 2-0 securing a Place in the Final. Faced against McAleer & Rushe again in what proved to be a thrilling Final the game went to a Penalty Shoot Out (Again!!) where after 5 Penalties apiece the game was evenly Balanced. Super Keeper Barry "Baz" McNally proved to be the Hero of the day yet again with his Seventh Save of the day and it was left down to big Stevie "The Sail" Campbell to step up to the Mark.......and Score the Winning Goal to secure Victory sealing off a Tremendous Day of Football!
