Education CASE STUDIES

Queen’s University Belfast

Queen’s University Belfast is a unique and internationally renowned institution, stretching back over 160 years. Established by Queen Victoria in 1845, Queen’s received its Royal Charter from King Edward VII in 1908, becoming an independent university in its own right.

Today, more than 25,000 postgraduate and undergraduate students, both full-time and part-time, make Queen’s one of the largest universities in the United Kingdom and part of the fabric of Northern Ireland.

Located in close proximity to Belfast City Centre; our work across the campus has seen everything from new entrances to the Peter Froggart Building & enabling packages at the Main site Tower to playing a major hand in the University’s expansion of its Health Science Campus.

As the works were carried out during normal working hours we focused heavily on communication with all parties through weekly stakeholder liaison meetings to ensure that disruption was kept to a minimum. This close consultation ensured work activities were co-ordinated with the on-going operations and events calendar, specifically in terms of maintaining safe public access and egress to the University
