CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Gareth Loye

Gareth was appointed to the Board of Mascott as Chief Executive in 2015. He was named the Belfast Telegraph’s Young Business Person of the Year 2015 and in 2016 named International Director of the year 2016 at the Institute of Directors Awards. Gareth is a visionary who is passionate about developing excellent Client relationships and ensuring Mascott provide highest standards of project management and delivery.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Johnathan Lath

Johnathan joined the company in 2019 as Financial Controller and quickly worked his way to Finance Director and then on to his current position as Managing Director. A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland Johnathan has worked in the construction sector with some of the UK and Irelands largest companies. Johnathan brings a wealth of experience in systems and management processes to aid company performance both operationally and financially.

Johnathan’s management ethos is to empower the team and allow them the space to deliver excellence in everything they do using their skills and abilities to their full potential.  Teamwork is paramount across all disciplines within the company and with all the clients and design teams that we work with. Johnathan is an active member of Chartered Accountants Ireland having been a guest speaker at some of their events and spent time on some of their regional committees.

Outside of work, Johnathan enjoys time with his family and helping with his children’s sporting activities as well as his personal fitness and the odd game of golf.

Mark Hanna
FIT-OUT DIRECTOR

Mark Hanna

Mark joined Mascott in 1992, as a Quantity Surveyor and quickly progressed into senior contracts management roles, eventually being appointed Construction Director in 1998.
He is a skilled communicator and with his extensive knowledge of construction and innovation, brings a unique perspective when working closely with Clients, Project Managers and design teams and engenders confidence throughout the various stages of the construction process.

Gerry McEvoy
SOCIAL HOUSING DIRECTOR

Gerry McEvoy

Gerry is a founding member of Mascott from the company’s formation in 1987.
With a lifelong career in quantity surveying, Gerry’s commercial knowledge and extensive business acumen is a vital backbone of wisdom and support both in the boardroom and to the staff within Mascott. His attention to detail in preparing bids and management of projects as they commence both commercially and managing site resources, has been vital in the success in the various frameworks and social housing contracts Mascott has undertaken.

CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR

Des Creelman

Des is our Construction Director with responsibility for the overall management and resourcing of the Contracts Department of the Company.

With his vast experience from working within the industry for many years, Des brings this knowledge to lead our construction teams to ensure our client’s objectives are met on each project.

His attention to detail and contractual awareness along with a totally open and collaborative approach with his project teams and Client teams, Des ensures that there is a wholly interactive approach with all key stakeholders in every project.

Outside of work, Des likes nothing more than trying to bring his handicap down on his local golf course.

FINANCE MANAGER

Niall Leake

Niall joined the company in 2019 as an assistant accountant and gained promotion to the role Finance Manager.

He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and brings his enthusiasm, knowledgeand experience in managing the daily functions of the company’s finance department.

Niall is also responsible for engaging with our external financial institutions and stakeholders.

Outside of work Niall enjoys watching sport and playing football for his local team.

Kevin McGarry

Kevin McGarry

Kevin joined Mascott in 2019 with a vast experience from over 40 years in construction and engineering.
Kevin ensures our overall management and delivery processes meet and exceed all legal requirements specifically applicable to Mascott and that every project is properly assessed with clear sign off and control procedures adhered to.
From Kevin’s clear direction, advice and continual improvement reviews, he and his team ensure we regularly exceed expectations in our ISO audits.

SOCIAL HOUSING MANAGER

Scott Montgomery

Scott joined Mascott in 2019 and is responsible for undertaking on-site property surveys and producing detailed reports on any identified defects or remedial works required.
His excellent technical knowledge and communication skills combined with a logical and practical thought process, gives our clients and key stakeholders confidence in his recommendations.
A team player, Scott works collaboratively with our contracts and surveying teams ensuring required works are fully planned and delivered efficiently on site.

Paul Harkin
PRE-CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Paul Harkin

Paul joined Mascott in 2018 bringing over 15 years’ experience in management of major bids throughout the UK and Ireland. His qualifications in Town & Regional Planning and NEBOSH Health & Safety brings a very methodical and precise approach to all our bids.
Paul’s excellent communication skills and a carefully planned, interactive approach to the pre-construction management process, is an integral part of our successes in many tenders, with clear, concise and accurate qualitative submissions at both prequalification and tender stages.
